Pecan Nuts

Pecans nuts come from the pecan tree (Carya illinoinensis), a species of hickory native to North America. The Pecan Nuts  is a smooth, oval kernel inside a hard shell encased by a green husk. Pecans are technically drupes, not true nuts.
