Hazelnut Kernels are in general classified as Extra, Class 1 and Class 2. This product is the kernel cracked out of the hazelnut in-shell. The main calibrations are 9-11 mm, 11-13 mm and 13-15 mm, while intermediary calibrations are also possible. Raw Hazelnuts are in general produced according to the Standard Hazelnuts are the nuts of the hazel tree (Corylus avellana).
- The kernel is the edible seed inside the hard, woody shell.
- They’re small, round, and brownish with a thin, papery skin.
